Samsung, a company known for pushing the boundaries of design, once again showcased its innovative spirit with the Galaxy S25 Edge. This top-of-the-line smartphone is not just impressively thin but a masterful combination of form, function, and performance. Our hands-on experience with the device left us intrigued and impressed. Here’s a detailed look at our experience.
Galaxy S25 design
By the shape of the Galaxy S25 Edge, Samsung went out on a limb. The phone is remarkably thin, only 6.8mm, but it does not feel in any way light or flimsy. Aerospace-grade aluminium forms the body, and Gorilla Arm Glass 2 shields the front and rear, providing stiffness and scratch resistance.
Each element of the design showcases Samsung’s commitment to minimalism. The SIM tray lies discreetly at the bottom, the buttons e flush against the frame, and the camera protrusion remains unobtrusive. By eliminating unnecessary visual clutter, Samsung creat a phone that is sophisticated in both appearance and feel.
Without the inadvertent touch issues that plagued earlier edge models, the edge screen still curves, though less so, lending it a more modern aesthetic. In addition to its small size, the phone is easier to hold due to the matte back, which also provides traction and doesn’t get smudged.
Look at the Galaxy S25
A 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x screen, which Samsung has mounted on the Galaxy S25 Edge, is stunningly gorgeous. High-quality images are rendered by the QHD+ (3120 x 144 resolution, and scrolling remains liquid smooth and power-friendly thanks to the 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate.
The screen impressed us all during our hands-on review: good contrast, natural colours, and a good viewing angle ere all in evidence. The screen can be read well outdoors, even in direct sun ght, due to the Vision Booster 2.0 technology that adjusts brightness and contrast automatically when light levels are high.
In addition, Samsung minimised the bezels further, and the screen is practically fully viewable. Without compromising on functionality, the device’s slight edge curvature makes it look futuristic.
Performance
The Galaxy S25 Edge is not just about sleek design and robust build. Samsung has packed this smartphone with top-line performance, featuring the Exynos 2500 processor or the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor, depending on the market. Our hands-on testing revealed excellent responsiveness, smooth gaming, fast application launch and seamless multitasking, leaving us thoroughly impressed.
Samsung paired the processor with 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage and 12GB LPDDR5X RAM. The phone never lagged during our testing in a variety of challenging scenarios, including editing video in 4K, playing computationally demanding games, and using split-screen.
S25 Edge is the most connected smartphone on the market due to Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and Ultra-Wideband 5G support.

Samsung managed to pack a powerful camera apparatus in the phone despite its small size. The Galaxy S25 Edge’s triple-lens setup:

In our brief hands-on phototest, the camera produced remarkable images with lively colors and a wide dynamic range. White balance, HDR, and saturation were smartly optimised by Samsung’s AI scene recognition. Even in challenging interior ligh ing, the main sensor yielded sharp, noise-free results.
The ultrawide camera effortlessly captured group shots and landscapes, with minimal edge distortion. The telephoto lens was outstanding in its clarity and steadiness, particularly at 3x zoom. The 12mp front camera captured sharp, well-illuminated photos for video calls and selfies.
Haptics, Audio, and Extras
For a phone so small, the dual speakers tuned by AKG deliver well-balanced sound with clear mids and unexpectedly deep bass. Dolby Atmos support enhances spa al audio when gaming or viewing content.
Haptics were accurate and intimate. Samsung gave a smooth gaming, swiping, and typing experience with the addition of a new X-axis linear motor. In our test, the phone’s ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, Knox security software suite, and IP68 water/dust resistance all worked quickly and reliably.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge welcomes thinness as a part of the whole, and not just an attempt to follow it. It provides substance in addition to its unique appearance courtesy of flagship-level features, bright screen, potent cameras, and thoughtfully implemented software. Samsung proves that a slim phone can offer excellent battery life, power, and usability without compromise.
